STAR TREK'S EFFECTS MAKEOVER!

CBS sprang a surprise on US Star Trek fans last month with the release of new, special edition Star Trek: The Original Series High Definition prints for use by TV stations across the US. The prints also feature new, updated visual effects. Several key episodes such as Balance of Terror and The Naked Time were initially selected for the upgrade, which includes new effects and other work - and the entire series will ultimately be remastered.
