This documentary focused on the fundamental and underestimated role of toys in our lives as vectors of dreams, happiness and love for sellers and customers.

These business owners discussed the power of toys and the role they play in making our wildest dreams come true – from becoming a pilot, teacher, artist to opening a toy store.

Toy shops featured in the documentary were: Nimble Fingers, Dublin; Dublin City Comics (action figure shop); Duffy’s Toyworld, Dunleer; Co Louth; Mulligan’s, Omeath, Co Louth; Bear Essentials, Bawnboy, Co Cavan; My old toybox, Belfast; Tinney’s Toys, Letterkenny, Co Donegal.

Also in the hour-long documentary were: McGreevey’s, Westport, Co Mayo; Wooden Heart, Galway; Cubs, Ennis, Co Clare; McGillicuddy’s, Listowel, County Kerry; The Toy Soldier Factory, Macroom, Co Cork; Pinnochio’s, Liege; Models RB, Clonmel, Co Tipperary; Mark’s Models, Hawkin’s Street, Dublin; May Roche’s, Abbeyfeale, Co Limerick.

Many children have visited these different toy stores and shared why they love to visit and the stories they have created from their time in these spaces.

The business owners also talked about some of their biggest sellers and how parents can get “emotional” trying to find the toys their kids want for Christmas.
